The new Fundraising Regulator has now been established for almost a year. Its role is to investigate and adjudicate public concerns and complaints about fundraisers. It also promotes good fundraising practice, including the Code of Practice (which the Charity Commission expects charities to follow). All charity trustees are ultimately responsible for the fundraising activities of their staff, volunteers and commercial partners; it is therefore vital to regularly review and update your charity's fundraising strategy, and to monitor the activities carried out.
No matter how you decide to fundraise, you should have effective systems in place so that your charity complies with the law and fundraising legal duties
