I was interviewed by Extech Cloud recently for their legal technology blog, where I discussed how new technologies are enabling law firms to increase client satisfaction levels.

Technologies which allow lawyers to work from any location, for example, mean that clients are questioning the cost-effectiveness of being asked to subsidise their lawyers' expensive office locations. Flexible and agile working technologies mean that clients can get better value for money, but can still trust that they are getting the same quality legal advice, just for a fraction of the price.

Ultimately, clients want the peace of mind of knowing that their matters are being handled by a lawyer that they trust, but the physical location of a lawyer's office is becoming less of a priority for them. Those law firms which fail to recognise the opportunities provided by such technologies, and which don't adapt to their clients’ changing needs, risk being left behind.
